Sublime Point lookout offers awesome views of the Jamison Valley without as many tourists as Echo Point in Katoomba.

I love that you can see the cliffs of Kings Tableland to your left; the ‘rear ends’ of the Three Sisters to your right and out in front of you – the sleeping giant of Mount Solitary.

Even on a misty day the Jamison Valley is a spectacular sight, when a sea of clouds fills the expanse of bushland and the cliffs of Mount Solitary rise out from the top like an island castle.

There’s also a picnic area there with tables; and while the authorities wouldn’t recommend it – the rock to your left on your way down to the lookout is an impressive place to lay down a rug and crack open a thermos of hot tea… or a bottle of champagne.

Itinerary tip: Check it out before or after having brekky/lunch at Wisteria Place and browsing the boutiques of Leura.
